Therefore, aesthetic surgery is not an end in itself but a means of helping patients. The surgical knife works for people with soul, personality and emotions. Aesthetic surgery is successful if the patient is satisfied. Granted, this is subjective criterion conditioned by the patient's expectations. In this context I am fully aware of the responsibility upon detailed communication before the procedure - this is why I never perceive the much needed time and the energy as a waste. I realize that the patient has to be informed and comprehend the procedures, including the possible complications and accompanying risks. Only a well informed person can freely and consciously decide to undergo an aesthetic procedure. This is dictated to us by the medical ethics and basic human morals.
